Quilt pirates??
#103
I think these are great! Of course, being a 44 year old with 2 great kids, (one with bright blue hair) a devoted husband, and also dreadlocks, tattoos and a nosering probably put me on the other side of the quilt store from most quilters. I've had other quilters actually cross a store to avoid me. However, every single person has a skull. There is nothing particularly macabre about a skull. I'd rather use this ANY day than the John Deere fabric, or anything else that promotes a brand name... Coke, Disney, M&Ms... people paying for fabric that is advertising a company is silly to me. If you're going to wear or display a billboard, they should pay YOU.
But isn't that the joy of the creative process? I don't have to buy evil advertisment, and people who don't like skull fabric don't have to buy that, either.
