    Default Quilt rescued

Last week I went to a thrift store looking to see if they had anything
I might find interesting enough to drag home (last time I went it was
a HUGE desk for my sewing room).

It was so sad to see this handmade quilt there, it is machine applique,
and hand quilted not a "tight" hand quilting more like a running stitch
    around the appliques and borders.

I sent an email with photos attached to my FIL and Louise (not me, but
the other Louise in the family step-MIL) to see if they wanted this quilt
for the cabin, the theme of this quilt is perfect for what they have in the
cabin. But with Louise you can never tell what she will or will not like.

At any rate I felt compelled to rescue this quilt, and give the original
quilter (wish I knew who it was) the respect they deserve by appreciating
the work they put into the quilt.

I purchased this quilt for $3.00 (50% off day).

This quilt has been cat scanned and approved by my "Mr. Dude" aka Gizmo.

Oh my, I'm not sure you will get that quilt away from kitty. it is a wonderful quilt, just right for a cabin as you say.

Did it have a label? Some quilter may be a bit disgruntled to learn that her/his hard work ended up this way. Thank you for saving it!

Thank you for saving the quilt. Someone put a lot of work into it.

It doesn't look like a difficult fix, so you got a GREAT buy! However, I don't think you're going to get it away from the cat so anyone else can have it. LOL!

Yeah you are correct about me getting the quilt from the dude.
The last picture with him looking at the camera was when I asked
him if he planned to get off the quilt so I can wash it.

I think his reply was no because he proceeded to curl into a ball and
go to sleep. Last time I went to the bedroom he was still sleeping on
the quilt. Or maybe it would be better to say sleeping UNDER it as my
hubs flipped the corner over him and it didn't even disturb him.
