Well we just got a kitty on Friday and that very night I decided to make her a little mini-quilt. I've pieced two tops before this one, but never completed the quilting process.

I cut up two old shirts of mine (they said 100% cotton, but they stretched SO much compared to normal fabric that I found it hard to work with). The result is as follows. Please don't laugh and don't look too close because this quilt is really a wreck. I've never done binding before, and actually used four separate binding strips, etc. Anyway, I've been trying not to point out the flaws in my own work, but trust me I know how bad this one is.

The good thing is - Ripley doesn't seem to care!

LOL! Great little quilt! Ripley loves it! Great pictures--thanks for sharing.

(I agree stretchy fabric is the pits.)

It would be cute to put Ripley believe it or not! Looks like he or she loves it. Great job. Not many pets get thier very own quilts. Huggies, Fay

I think you did a great job. Ripley's already being a blessing to you; she has encouraged you to finish your first quilt out of love. She looks happy and like she's settling right in.

Ripley likes it' that's all that matters. We all learn from our mistakes.

As long as Ripley likes it.......who cares? The next time, use lots of spray starch before you cut them up!!!
    Bailey is sooooo cute!! :-D

It's funny how the quilts you think you'll sail right through from start to finish usually give you the hardest time. Quilters know how to persevere and get it done....and now you are one of them. Ripley loves his quilt and isn't that the best test of a project?
