    Default The Quilt Show BOM

I know I haven't been here in awhile, posting anyway, but I do read. I seem to have lost my mojo lately.. like for the last year. I've hardly worked on anything, just go to work, come home, and do a lot of nothing. My job is up in the air, parent company declared bankruptcy, hundreds of people let go, and no idea really what is going to happen when. I suppose that probably contributes to my overall malaise.

Just about the only thing I have worked on is the BOM from The Quilt Show. Obviously I haven't done much work on it since I am several months behind. This is what's completed so far, month 5, and I have the 9 diamond-shaped blocks (months 6, 7, & 8) that go around the outside about done, need to do the applique stitching on them.

It is beautiful so far. Sorry to hear that things are unsettled in your life right now.

Hang it just as it is and enjoy looking at it every day. Your subconscious mind will work on it and when you are ready and have your mojo back, you'll likely be surprised at how easily the new work progresses.

That said I can so relate to your 'malaise' and the stress you are under. It's a kind of depression and even grief process. Like other forms of grief, it needs time to work through. Sometimes a little temporary chemical help provides relief. If you opt not to go that route, it's okay, and we all support you. But stay with us so that if this lingers we can all listen, send cyber hugs and encouragement, and help make sure you don't get stuck for the long term.

Your project really is terrific and will stay that way while you enjoy it this way!

I really should hang it up so that I will see it all the time. Have thought about seeing my doctor but, I can't even make myself do that! Funny, but not.

I have really missed seeing the pictures of all your beautiful quilts. This one is going to be beautiful, too! It already is. I hope you can get back in your groove before long. Take good care!
