    Default Quilt for Sonja

This quilt was inspired by some quilt pictures on the internet.

I gave DD a 21-piece black and white jelly roll in 2016. She started the quilt while visiting us a couple of weeks ago. She added in some strips of fabric I had in my stash with a little color in it. Then she picked fabrics from my stash for the flowers and placed them where she wanted them to be. Then she left it for me to finish. I put a layer of batting under each flower, since the fabric beneath showed through and it helps them to puff up a bit. I did free motion quilting around the flowers and used a decorative wave stitch down each ditch. Then I did a free motion continuous line leaf design for the border. I'm lovin' it. It's for my DGD who will be 2 in November. The size is 37x53.

Great work and a darling quilt. Has a very fresh, modern look that I like very much.
