My Navy grandson has received his deployment orders. I had to make him something to take with him. This one loves bright colors, so be prepared. The red border is not as bright as the picture. I didn't haven't a pattern - just a picture from here. Emma's Star was set on point but mine isn't. This was my most accuate work. No square needed squaring and the quilt sides were perfectly even when finished. My first FMQ. I SITD first then did FM in every square.

Alex's Stars - not this light

I know your grandson will dearly love this quilt and what a wonderful gift for him to take with him...he will think of you with love everytime he uses it! And praying that God will keep him safe. I so admire these young men and women who help to keep our country safe! They are the best.
