That's so cute. This Christmas a friend gifted me with an American Girl doll, Samantha, that her adult daughter didn't want when she was packing up the house to sell as part of the divorce. My DGD loved the doll and all the clothes, as well as furniture that I received as well. Now I'm trying to figure out what type of quilt to make her, that was part of our barter, although I think I may have gotten the better deal. She wants the colors in the VanGogh Starry Night fabric she had seen, so I think I need to find some so I can start thinking. Your doll quilt is beautiful and I'm sure it will be well loved.

That is a beautiful quilt, pillow, and suitcase. A wonderful gift for a little girl.

That is just wonderful. I sure would be interested in finding out how to do the suitcase. That is so much nicer than just a back pack!

I think I got one request for directions for the doll suitcase. I got it from a blog called " Mommy by day Crafter by night" You will need to search the site for the suitcase directions. If I ever make another I would use the Byannie foam interfacing instead of the heavy pellon interfacing she suggested to use. It has to be easier to sew than the heavy cardboard like interfacing that was recommended and I feel it would give it just as much stability that it would need to keep its shape.
