What a thoughtful granddaughter you have! I like her idea of using owls to represent her teachers' wisdom. It's a shame she hasn't had better relationships with teachers in the past, but at least she's learned that there are some very caring ones out there. [Your doing the quilts only proves the old adage: "An acorn won't fall far from the tree."]

Ditto to all that has been said. As a grandmother with two grandchildren that have issues I can appreciate the wisdom and kindness that some teachers show. The quilts are amazing and your DGD is also wise. God bless her, you and the teachers. I also hope she continues to find understanding people in her life. You set a good example and I am sure that she will remember what you did for her the rest of her life. Please give her a hug for me. BrendaK

This will be treasured forever by her wonderful teachers! Your grand daughter was so clever to choose owls for her wise teachers. These will put a smile on all their faces as they see their owls represented. Wonderful gifts.

What a wonderful idea for great teachers, and I'm sure they will cherish their quilts, it's a wonderful memory quilt. I'm glad that your GD has found two teachers who have developed a rapport with her. My son was diagnosed with ADHD in Kindergarten, and with the teacher, along with his pediatrician, we were able to turn him around and channel all that energy that he had. He has grown to be a remarkable man, happily married with our 3 1/2 yr. old DGD Zoe, plus he works full time and started nursing school last fall, so he has a very busy 3 years ahead of him, but we couldn't be prouder. What a difference a teacher can make in a child's life, turning a negative into a wonderful positive.
