A very old pattern called Jack's Chains that I wanted to make when I first saw it in a magazine years and years ago. In my innocence I didn't know how it was put together but it was on my forgotten list. Today in my maturity, I still admire it and think:"I would really like to make this", but I don't think so with "Y" seams. But........, I f I could find a pattern without the "Y" seams, maybe. Did yours have "Y" seams and is it still available? I think Fons & Porter may have done one without the y.

Yes, it's "Jack's Chain". Rainbow of Rings is a new name for it.
In the last Paducah quilt show I went to, I saw one that was done with Kaffe Fassett fabrics and the center hexigons were kaliedoscopes of Kaffe prints. (Just in case you want to try another one.... ha ha ha!)
