    Post Quilt Top Remake Complete

Some months ago I posted a picture of the original top minus outer borders . I did not like the sashing fabric used and decided to redo. These blocks were embroidered and sashing sewn on by someone unknown and donated to the quilting group that I make charity quilts for. So I completely disassembled the top, squared up the blocks, added new sashing and borders. Love how it turned out.

Nice 'save'. The original fabric used for the sashing was too overpowering.

You made a great decision. The work & effort you make to redo it was well worth it.

I agree with your assessment. That is a fine quilt now. Many people feel that anything will do for a charity quilt. I am very glad you are not one of them.

I think the first one was cute too, but the redo was a lot better. The snowmen are soo cute, I would love to have the pattern for them.

I don't see the problem with the first way, but both are very pretty. The blocks are so darling. I'm glad you are making them into a finished quilt for someone.

Would also love to find that embroidery pattern....
