After I made a few tops with my different size strips that were too designed to fit with any color group, I got into my squares and triangles and picked out the wild ones. When I got to the larger 3.5 inch squares, I looked for some that were closer to solid colors to give some areas of actual color, so that the whole thing didn't just turn to mud! I wanted the Spools & Bobbins block so that the white could bring in a diagonal line and hopefully a bit of structure to all of those colorful scraps :)

thanks! One block is a sixteen patch and the other block is a Spools & Bobbins block. The small squares are two inches unset and the larger ones are 3.5 inches unset.
