    I wonder how that pattern would look with other fabrics. It is so stunning as it is but I'm not sure I could find fabric like that. What classifies fabric as civil war fabric and what size were you squares they look so tiny. I love this quilt you should be so proud. I keep coming back to it to look at it. If only.

    Sure you could do this in any kind of fabric!!! Civil War fabrics are just reproductions fabrics from the Civil War period. I used 5" charm squares, so they are 4½" finished. I dont remember right off hand what size I cut for the uneven 9 patch but I am sure I have it wrote down somewhere. There are no two squares alike either, but you could very well repeat the fabrics.

    I really like how it all works so well together: fabric, design, quilting. I usually like brighter colors, but I would not mind displaying this one in my home!!
