When I saw this pattern in a magazine, I just had to make it for a Quilt of Valor. I wanted it to be just a little bit bigger to meet their requirements, so I added the camouflage border. In the letter that went with it, I said that the blocks had a special meaning. The house block could represent his home and family, the courthouse step blocks could represent his hometown, the American flag would represent his country, and the camouflage border could represent his beloved Marine brothers and sisters. It went in the mail today. I hope he likes it.

    I loved the backing fabric
