Here are 2 of my first quilt as you go quilts.
They were really lots of fun to make and easy too.
I used the book, Crazy Shortcut quilts, by Marguerita McManus & Sarah Raffuse.
I didn't use there patterns but I learn how to make the quilts from there book. I wanted to see how it would come out before I cut into my good fabric.
I use up some of my scraps for the one, the other with the boats on it, is the second one I made and it is for a baby shower.
Anyone who has been thinking about making a quilt as you go, I say try it, it sure is fun.

I love the first one....I wish I had had that for my son when he was younger - we still have all the glow in the dark stars and planets on his ceiling and walls.

Love your boat quilt . I've tried the quilt as you go, but I didn't do it right. You did a great job.
