Brenda K - the snaps are very easy and no sewing needed. Each side has prongs and a washer so you make a tiny snip in the lining fabric and trap the fabric between the two parts. I also reinforced that part of the fabric with a scrap of fusible fleece. I bought a job lot cheap from China on the website named after a long river.

costumegirl the octopus was part of the pattern but I adapted it slightly

STunning! I love the curving tentacles of your octopus. They are fascinating creatures.

Great bag! Really love the way the octopus wraps around the bag. Octopuses are so smart. I hope this one doesn't find a way to get away from that bag.

Very nice beach bag and especially love the colors of your fabrics. Great job on the octopus.

The bag is lovely! Great color choices. I'm like a few others who have responded...I'd love to do a bag someday soon. I waiting for LQS to have a class.
