    beautiful. even if they are not filled with anything, they would make a very nice gift. is there pattern to by?

    I made a bunch of these at Christmas & filled them with a variety of chocolates etc. & everyone just loved them. I really like your idea too. Would never have thought to have the flaps on the outside but it looks kinda cool. For some of mine I trimmed off the excess & serged the edges & then glued them to the inside to keep them flat. The others I tacked on the inside so that they could be used to store some small things like scissors, stitch ripper etc.
    Thank you for reminding me that they can be used for times other than Christmas.
