    Default Quilted Feathers

One of the women in my guild has been experimenting with coloring her quilt with colored pencils after the quilting process is done. So I decided to try it. I don't have fabric colored pencils, color crayons didn't show up well on the fabric I chose, so I used fabric paint. I like the results, but the paint did make the fabric a lot stiffer than I expected. I am going to experiment with another brand of fabric paint that is supposed to result in a softer fabric. We will see!!

It is very pretty! As a wallhanging it will be fine even if it's stiff. You will have to enter it into a quilt show under mixed medium? It would be perfect!

I've worked with fabric paints and they do make the fabric stiffer than what I liked so I mixed the paint with a softening medium, I can't remember the name of it but it worked. I expected it to soften the color too but it really didn't make much of a difference and it's washable.... nice plus.
