Default Quilted oven mitts and simple apron for granddaughter

I finished these today and am quite happy with them. We bought our granddaughter - who will be 2 in March - a red wooden kitchen for Christmas so this will go quite nicely for her. I decided to change the neck straps into a simple one strap with elastic as I worry about wee ones getting straps caught and then choking. The apron also ties in the front. As she lives on the other side of the country (Canada) I tested the items on a huge teddy bear. LOL! I don't have enough of the strawberry fabric to make a chef's hat but I guess I could use white for the floppy part and the dotted fabric for the band.

Super cute! Isn't it the best kind of fun to sew for your grandchildren? They grow up so fast.
