I think you said it just right, but personally, if she wants something that looks better than that, she might be a good friend, but she is also a perfectionist and could learn to relax from you  great job and thanks for the wave quilting or whatever that marvelous technique is called. I like it

OK This is what you should do! Put EasyPeezy's name and mine in a basket (anyone else that wants too!) and draw. We WANT to be your friends and love your quilt!

Joking aside. You could let her see what you have been working on and observe her reaction. Then make a decision. I quilt, but I also have a friend who quilts and I'd love to have almost any of her quilts. However, some are not really my color choices (your's is!) and although I would be thrilled that she thought to give me one and I would accept it graciously (I hope) it might not have been one I would have chosen if given the opportunity. Then again she probably wouldn't offer me one that wasn't my color preference. In fact, I am the lucky recipient of all the Bali Pops, etc. that she doesn't use and they ARE my colors!! Go figure. Anyway, she should love it. I do.

I'm sure that your dear friend will absolutely love it, please don't feel stressed and anxious that it's not "perfect".

I'm sure she will love it! I do just looking at it =) If she quilts too she will appreciate it for the work you put in it and the fact that you made it for her. I would be beside myself if someone made something like that for me. =)

I would be "honored" to receive such a nice gift - I bet your friend will love it - if she really knows her stuff - she will know how much time and effort you put forth. It's a wonderful quilt.

No, if she is your friend, the quilt will be welcomed. She knows how much work goes into a quilt.
