Quilter's gifting anxiety
#33
Just put on a label that says "Made with Love", no one could ask for anything more. It's a beautiful quilt and very similar to the one I made my DD for her wedding. It's posted on this forum someplace.

SHE WILL LOVE IT!!!!
I had similar misgivings about giving a seamstress/quilter friend a quilt. The first quilt I made was a lap quilt for her. I debated, worried, cried, got sick and finally gave it to her. We cried together for 2 days over how much she loved it.

I just had the same problem, though thankfully my friend isn't a quilter and doesn't know her stuff. :) I was worried she would think badly of my "homemade" gift. It was quite the opposite though. She said it was the most thougtful present she had ever received.
Give your quilt proudly and your friend will love it. It's a beautiful quilt, nothing about it not to love!

If she is really a friend, she will accept the quilt in the spirit in which it is given and will love it all the more because you cared enough to make it for her. A gift from the heart is the best gift of all.
BTW meant to add that I love your quilt, please add my name to the list of those who would give it a good home,
and thank you for sharing.
