    Thanks for the drawing to illustrate how you go about the work of the design. Your planning pays off in beautiful work, and you've given us all a good clue that it doesn't "just happen!"

    That took me awhile to learn that lesson. I watched all those longarm videos and it's so fast and perfect, just whip-whip-whip and it's done, no problem. Yeah... that's not going to happen, at least not for me. It was very discouraging, to say the least. I'm a more "precise" type of person. What helped me a lot was watching tons of Sharon Schamber videos where she actually MARKS the quilting and to see close-up that it's not all perfection.

    The center swan and flower look wonderful. Thanks for showing the center half quilted- really makes the point of how quilting adds so much to a design! I agree with you about not doing too much quilting there. You may decide that what you've done & then mirrored on the other side will be enough - it looks like it will be to me. And it's jawdropping awesome to me!
