    Default Quilting dot to dot

The lady that made this quilt top did beautiful cross stitching and I had a grand time quilting dot to dot. I was glad I did not have to quilt in the cross stitching.

Wow, what a lot of work that was. It is beautiful and your quilting is wonderful. What do you mean by quilting dot to dot?

Very pretty! It looks like the hand quilting dot to dot covers the dots. Are they the kind that are supposed to wash out or are they permanent? This is the nicest example I've seen of those printed tops.

I have done a few of those styles - different motifs - but they had the dots to follow to do the quilting. It was nice because you don't have to mark the quilt. And each time mine washed out with no problem. I have some more squares in a box somewhere. I believe Herschnerr's still sells them, I found mine a little over 20 years ago back in Kanas as a store much like a Woolworths or TG&Y.

they should wash out. Don't wash your blocks to pre-shrink them before finishing them though. Ask me how I know!
