Quilting Ideas - help
#1
I have just finished trying to layer my king sized quilt. I now have the problem of quilting it. I haven't got a scooby what to do with it. Does anyone have any ideas? I can either machine quilt or hand quilt it. Just don't know where to start.
Help

Beautiful quilt, love the blocks and colors.
This is a tough one, can see why you don't know where to start.
First thing that caught my eye was the border. There I would stitch in the ditch around the basket blocks and around each of the baskets. In the larger setting diamonds I would do a pattern to fill them in, I see flowers in the fabric, so maybe a pretty rose motif, or feathers.
In the center of the quilt, I again would stitch in the ditch around each block and each motif, and then maybe a larger meandering around the off white background.
Hope my suggestion helps you, I'm sure there will be more to come.

Wow! I love the setting with the baskets surrounding all the blocks in the center. I also really like the scrappy tan background used throughout the quilt. It's so huge and looks perfectly straight and square. Really impressive.
Was this a pattern or just a bunch of sampler-like blocks you put together?
Good luck on the quilting.
You're way more patient than I'll ever be. ;-)
