I don't have a designated room, persay, but that's not to say I can't have designated space!

Good luck finding your space! :)

I don't have a space either. I do have an extra spare bedroom that I could use as it is sitting empty other than the closet. But I prefer to be in the living room. I couldn't stand being locked up in the upstairs bedroom alone. I would rather get my stuff out constantly so I can be with the hubby and my little guy. Good Luck with your quilting ventures!

Nope, you are not alone. I, too, waited a long time for a dedicated sewing room. I was so much neater then, too. Please don't make the pictures to small, some of us appreciate larger pics. Progressive lenses and such.

I have the back basement at the moment. It serves quite well for me. I do love how many have organized areas with bins, cabinets etc for fabric. One day maybe I will have such as well :)

I used to have to quilt on the kitchen table, the counter top was where I stored my fabric etc; we ate on the couch. I pieced and quilted 12 quilts that 1st year.... LOL!!!!! I used the Flynn quilt system , my ex made the rails 10 foot long; I would have to quilt out over the kitchen sink out the window on one end, and thru the doorway into the living room on the other end. If you wanted to go to the bathroom, you had to crawl under the quilting! BTW that house was a total of 500 sq. ft. When I finally bought a house in 2000, that was non-negotiable.... I was getting a sewing room! It's actually smaller than the kitchen at the old place, only 9x9, but it's a dedicated space... and I can pack 10 lbs of sh** into a 3 lb bag no problem!!!!!!!
