Quilting room finished PAINTED!!! (finally!)
#1
Some of you may remember that waaayyyyy back on July 4th weekend I was starting to paint my quilting room. It had been a dark forest green when it was my DD's bedroom. Although I liked the color, it really sucked up the light in that room.
So I decided to paint it a light green, called "Restful" by BEHR (with the primer in it!) It only took 2 coats to cover that dark green because of the primer in the paint! YAY!
However, after painting I wanted DH to hand picture rail molding as this house has old plaster walls and it is a PAIN to hang pictures...those of you with plaster know the routine. It is not like hanging a picture on drywall. And if you want to move it or get it in the wrong place...heaven help you!!!
So it took a while for carpentry-challenged DH to get the picture rail molding up. Then I had to caulk and touch up the molding (I had prepainted it before putting it up.)
FINALLY, we were able to put the room back in order...well...it's pretty much back in order anyway! No pictures hanging from the railing yet, but this weekend we put my NEW-TO-ME 3 rail Hinterberg hand quilting frame together with the new longer rails that we made to accommodate larger quilts.
Last night I put a quilt in the frame and started quilting on it! YIPPEE!!! I am one HAPPY QUILTER! :)
