    Default Quilts for Christmas Presents

Imade a doll quilt and a lap quilt for my 6-year-old niece/God-daughter. This is my first attempt at a French Braid and I cut off the points at the top of the quilt - bummed me out. I will try the pattern again, but will work harder to reduce the stretch from the biased cuts - I know, use starch. Practicing my FMQ and trying to improve. The label is from a packet of fusible fabric you print on using an inkjet printer that I bought at Walmart last year.

Both of them are very cute!! I did a Linus quilt this year from some of the same yellow dragonfly fabrics. Bright and fun colors!!!

They are both cute, but the french braid really stands out with those fabrics.
