    Default Quilts for Family Reunion

I read on this board where someone was making a quilt for their family reunion and thought that sounded like a good idea for our reunion this July. I decided to take two --here is the one for the kids.
The cat's were the left-over cut-outs. The lady sold the cats but had a pile of the outlines and I asked what she was going to do with them. She gave them to me. I made 2 quilts--they are raw edge applique. She had already put the transfer stuff on them so I just needed to iron them only background blocks. I stitched around the cat and around the outside edge of the square.

Very perky and upbeat, ought to generate conversation among the children.

What a clever way to repurpose scraps! Love how you laid out your design. The kids will certainly enjoy that quilt! Please be sure to show us the other one you plan to do once it is done. Thanks for sharing such a creative piece!
