Thanks everyone! I would like to make more quilts to send to Japan as they will b in need again in the coming winter. However, with returning to Canada and our furniture taking 3 months to get to there, I don't know if I will have time to make more.

Japan is very near and dear to our hearts. While in Canada, we were a host family for international exchange students and over the course of about 7 years, we had approximately 30 different students live with us. The majority were from Japan.

As it turned out, we had a flight booked to Japan....and we were suppose to leave just 10 days after the quake hit! We ended up having to postpone our trip and we ended up going last month! We loved, loved, loved Japan and would like to return one day!

I am proud of you - these are going to be very welcome. I had also sent one, and like to think that someone I will never know, half way around the world gets a bit of warmth from my efforts - I'm sure they will think of yours in the same light. God bless.

What a loving heart you have. All the quilts are so beautiful and are sure to give pleasure to those lucky ones who get one.
