Those are both so cute. I love your quilt with the hearts. Great idea.

Good for you. I love it. I'm just finishing up my first one. Still haven't decided whether to make one from my scraps. I don't like it when charities ask for more once I've given what I committed to. I understand it's for a good cause, but where does it end. Haven't made up my mind yet. I suppose that makes me a grinch. But I have very much enjoyed the quilt I made from the kit they sent, and it's been a great opportunity to practice my fmq.

If you can't give, (time, energy, money, etc.), out of love, don't do it. Charities must ask for help in order to help others.

Judithb--That's a very good way to look at it. I give out of love in many ways and for many causes. I've made one of these quilts, and I've asked them to send me another kit to make another. I was just a little put off when the first kit came asking me to return another one in addition to the one I was already making. I have a hard time saying 'no' and so I don't like being put in a position where I have to say it. But I like the "out of love" test. It makes it easier for me to know where I stand and to make a decision about how much is enough and how much is too much.
