I have a quilt exactly like the yo-yo quilt you have in the pictures. The "sashing" part is also done with the yellow yo-yo's and it's all sewed on to a white sheet or something similar. My neighbor made it years ago and her DIL was going to throw it away!!!! I said "Don't you dare" and I rescued it.

They are all so beautiful and she did such neat work, I can't imagine how much time she actually spent on them, I just bet a lot. I can't believe someone would have the patience to cut all these one at a time and sew the together. I know how much time and work went into any quilting back then. I don't have enough patience to do quilts that beautiful. Now everyone going into the museum will see your Grandmothers beautiful work. Good for you to donate these.

When I'm gone, nobody will know anything about them.
