Quilts in the Park

Quilts in the Park
Our 'Quilts in the Park' display on Sunday was fantastic and very well received by the thousands who attended the Festival. The weather was perfect, very warm and sunny and just a hint of a breeze.
Janice (my co-hort) and I layed some of our quilts down the steps at the local park, along with a few quilts from 2 other quilters. It created a very colourful and visual display of local talent. It was a lot of work but well worth the effort from all the positive comments we received on the day.
Here are a couple of pictures of the quilt display.
I also entered 2 chairs in the 'Let's Be Seated' display at the Festival. The chairs were displayed around the fountain just beyond the steps so it linked in so well to our display - a collaboration of art !! The first two chairs are my entries, the rocker is one of Janice's entries and the mosaic 'armchair' was done by my friend Marilyn.
Enjoy ! I am now well on the way to making final arrangements for my solo quilt show on March 15.
