Default A Rag Quilt. It Was Fun And Fast.

I made this as a surprise for DD's birthday in November. She is a cat lover. I never dreamed I would be done in 4 days. I love this fabric and this project was a real treat to make. This is Blizzard Happy Cat Flannel from Hancock Fabrics. I used 126 - 10" squares. The fabric was on sale so I used it for all three layers of the quilt, I bought 9 yards and used all but a few inches of it. Tomorrow I'm going to start on my own rag quilt.

Awe! How adorable! Rag quilts are sooo fun! I love them, they are sooo forgiving, and just joyful sewing! Have given several as gifts, and they are all well loved!

Love that kitty print. Rag quilts are so cozy. Did you know that Accuquilt has dies for their Go! cutters that cut the squares for these, including all the snips in the seam allowances? All you have to do is sew them together and then wash. Amazing: No snipping.
