    I also meant to comment on how special it is that you used Grandpa's old jeans. Is the Harley patch significant? This may be an item she treasures for years to come. And it is a perfect example of a seamstress creating art, which we see a lot on the Quilting Board.

    G-pa rides a 1996 Dyna Glide Harley Davidson.

    The patch used to be on his work jeans.

    Very nice! Thank you for posting that "This took forever"! I think including that is an excellent idea that I might be tempted to imitate when necessary. Your granddaughter will be delighted with her gifts!

    She absolutely loved her gifts. When I took them home, she went into her room and put her new pillowcases on her pillows. Her old backpack was to small, she said this is perfect for school.
