I just finished Sunshine666 rail fence quilt. It is for her DD bridal shower and the wedding flowers are sunflowers. So the quilt has a decidedly sunflower theme. I did a lot of sketches before starting to quilt this and decided on a big stylized sunflower in every rail fence block. This is Sunshine666 very first quilt!! She did an awesome job. It was so nice and square it went on the rack like a dream and quilted just as beautifully. Not trouble spot anywhere. And I loved looking at the bright cheerful yellows as I quilted it.
I free handed the whole quilt, except for the cirlce in the middle of the sunflower that I free handed a spiral in. I used the lid of a cottage cheese container to trace out the first circle.
