I absolutely love your little bird/flowers quilt!!! I am also entranced with the mixture of cotton and wool. The texture in person must be wonderful! I am definitely keeping this technique in mind for a future quilt as I have been saving up some pieces of wool. Thanks for posting!

Thanks everyone! Let's see, for people just getting started working with wool, I suggest a small applique project such as a mug rug. There are many wonderful starter patterns out there. If you want PM me and I can lead you to some.
Also you can visit youtube, search wool applique and many fun and helpful videos that will teach you tips and tricks.
Sewfine, I know of the felt you speak of, it is called National Nonwoven. I have worked with it before, but I prefer a wool that is heavier and has more of a pile to it. But that is why they make 31 flavors of ice cream because not everyone likes vanilla!
