Raise the Roof with flying geese and log cabins

Your quilt is gorgeous!
My LQS had a class for 'Raise the Roof quilt', which I wanted to take (but had a conflict). So I purchased Miss Rosie's book, in hopes that ONE DAY, I can make it. I have heard that the cutting is intimidating. A pat on your back for persevering.
Glad that your hubby is doing well.

Finally finished this quilt top.... Took a long time to cut this thing out! If I ever named quilts, I would name this one "Almost A Widow Maker" because I was working on this quilt when my husband had a heart attack two weeks ago...my husband laughed when I told him that. Lol. Husband is doing great, and acts like he never had a massive heart attack.
Thanks for looking.

Wendy: Your quilt is breath taking. I usually design my own patterns, very contemporary, but this looks like something I might want to tackle next year. I have a quilt that I have hand quilting, and a contemporary quilt that I probably will have quilted as it is batik and difficult to hand quilt. I have another design and will be on a quilt hop in June so if I do not find material maybe I can start on your design. Is it all right to try and come up with the pattern, or is it one you designed yourself?
