I was supposed to be working on two Minnesota Vikings quilts for our grandsons, but I just can't get myself motivated. I have all the components and a plan; I just have to get into gear. In the meantime, I was looking through my stash and found some little brown, green and neutral squares that I had cut for an Ohio Star quilt I made eight years ago. The directions had me cut many more little squares than I needed, and they had just sat there waiting. I remembered a quilt called Random Ohio Stars from Bonnie Hunter, and I got inspired. I made all the 6" stars from my leftovers and then decided to add some blue while making the 12" stars. I had all of the fabric left over from other projects. Here is the result. I think it's a really fun quilt, and I really enjoyed making it (unlike the Vikings quilts). It's definitely on the bottom of the to-be-quilted pile though.

I really, really, like this quilt top. I love these colors and to have them already in your stash, is amazing. I hope this has given you the boost you need to work on the tops you’d rather not do. I am having a time getting back in gear myself.

Love the way your quilt turned out. It looks like it was planned from the start. Don’t feel alone in the “get going
department “. I only have the border to sew together and yesterday I set that aside to start sewing 2 1/2” squares for a quilt idea. I love the quilt but can’t seem to get my head together o finish the border. I’m going to blame it on the heat!
