    Rape is raised for its seed that is used for oil, very common in Europe. When it matures it's a brilliant yellow, especially in the sun. The fields are very striking.

    Due to the traditional name being seen as bad, over here in the USA that plant is being called canola. I believe that the canola name started in Canada for a specific type of rape seed but now seems to be a generic term.
