    I am just starting my denim 6 " rounds - Cathedral window quilt from my late hubby's jeans. I had contemplated using lightweight flannel square in the middle, but now I don't know about the weight when finished. In your opinion, will that be too heavy?

    Sorry about the loss of your in-laws so close together. I think the quilt is a loving tribute to them. I've used my quilting many times to deal with death of family members and it always helps.
