    It depends on the area. In Pennsylvania they use the reds and yellows. Here in Kalona Iowa I guess they don't. The lady I sell to is not Amish but it is a tourist area that uses the quilts as it's main marketing promotion. It is the center of a large Amish community so I guess she wants my stuff to reflect that. She asked me not to use reds yellows or browns or what she terms Easter colors.     Thanks for explaining that to me. I live around Hutterites and I never see them make anything yellow or red. I never really paid attention to that until you mentioned it.
    I'm glad your branching out. Those are great colors.

    In some of the literature they post in Kalona on the Amish they don't use bright colors as that is vane. It is seen as being showoffy.
