I suspect she likes bright because she lives outside Seattle -- tons & tons of overcast days and rain (just like Salem, OR). I radiate toward bright, bright colors because of where we live, too.

My grandson and his new wife visited me last month from Tacoma, WA. Stephanie is such a sweet gal, I just wanted to make her a quilt. She likes orange and brown. This is the best I could do with those colors. Since it is so bright I offered to tone it down with Tan Rit Dye but she loves it as it is. That is Lili peeking out from under it.
