    Now this is a great idea. I have those bed lifters and I hate the look of them they are unsitely.. I actually took the table down because I was agrivated tripping over them.

    Great idea! So unnoticeable! That's ingenious!
    FYI, the most readily available doweling is hardwood. So, if the prices scare anybody, it's because hardwoods cost more than pine.
