That is such a neat ironing board/station. I have a very small area for my sewing room--I just found it and purchased it at Gettington.com. Sure was a pretty good price. Thank you so much for sharing. I am going to have to get a shoe organizer also. That would help me quite a bit to see what I have also. Good ideas.

Okay, I called the closest Pamida store and they are on sale for $59 this week. Did they have colors and is it sturdy?? I mean you won't be ironing and with the wheels have it take off?? If it is worth it, then I am going to be making the long drive to get it after work. They said there were 4 left!! Awesome idea, I have never seen anything like it.

CAUTION ON THE PAMIDA-PURCHASED IRONING STATION!
Last night and today, I unexpectedly melted the fabric in two spots. See pics. These happened when I put my iron down on those surfaces, without other fabric underneath. I don't know why they happened. This has not happened with the center section, even though I frequently put my iron down alone to test the heat or to test the steam.
So, I'm going to add a layer of that silvery fabric for ironing board covers, which I happen to have for some reason, and staple it on, because the unit is still very useful.
In answer to another question: The wheels seem fine. Probably not super sturdy, but they wheel fine when I want them to. I would say that you should guide it carefully, in case the wheels are not pointing in the correct direction.
