    Oh yes! I had actually purchased a different black for this, it had a small white print on it but I just didn't like it so I went with the black on black fabric.. The brown gold & white one I put together over the weekend...same thing, I cut out a few of these, a few of those then played with them a bit until I saw something that was eye appealing...to me anyway!

    You had my attention when you said 'red, black and white'. One of my favorite combinations. Beautiful quilt!

    Love this. Eventually, I am going to make a black and white with a touch of red for a friend. This gave me more ideas.

    Perfect! I love the way the stars come together. So lucky that you had that border fabric...you couldn't have found anything better, if you'd searched and searched.
