This particular graduate walked the stage, but will stay in school until he's 21. I know he'll love it. I taught him as a 4th and 5th grader and he's been a church friend as well.

When I do a shop hop I like to collect fat quarters. Ones suitable for patriotic quilts are part of what I like to pick up. Also like to get red/white, black/white and other combinations of those 3 colors. Makes it easy to throw a quilt together should the need arise.

This pattern has you cut all the fq's into the same 6 pieces. So stack them high and cut them fast. You make two blocks and there's no decision making about which way to turn them - you just follow the layout on the pattern and DONE. Awesome for when the fabric can stand alone and for fast, fast, fast!
