"Red-y for A Change" - quilt top
I made this fun quilt top this week. It was originally published as Bainbridge Delft (all done in gorgeous blues...) in the book "Bargello Quilts with A Twist", by Maggie Ball, and then re-published into the book "Sensational Small Quilts" which I just received as a surprise late Christmas gift.
The book arrived at the right time to help lift my spirits and a winter slump. I started to think all my quilts were too similar in appearance (well yes, as I have been pulling fabrics from my greens and blues and oranges and neutrals in my stash for a year now). But there is another bin of fabric and it hadn't seen the light of day in a very long time. It was the red fabrics. So I sorted those into further color groups - scarlet, brick, tomato, pinkish.... and I decided to go with the scarlets for this quilt.
Thanks for looking and happy sewing.
