    Bessie it turned out very nice, I love redwork, have all the fabric & designs organized just need to have the time.
    Bless you for finishing this one, my first concern would be the age of the fabric...or am I just a worry wart?

    Beautiful. How wonderful to have such a historical quilt! I especially loved the reference to my very talented longarm quilter friend, Vivian. She does the most amazing work. Thank you for sharing.

    I was amazed at the great condition of the fabric after all these years. I soaked it in a vintage soak for apx 48 hours to remove all the stains and it cleaned up very well. As I mentioned the thread that had been used on the hem was the strongest thread I have ever seen. There was no pulling it to remove it so I literally undid each stitch one at a time. I thought I would never get through taking the thread out of that hem.
