This is my 1st donated quilt for my daughters boyfriends Relay for life fundraiser. I worked very hard on a differnet top and got frustrated and went back to the good ole yellow brick road. Was hoping to raise a few hundred bucks to the relay team but they used it as a door prize-Talk about upset. This is only the 2nd quilt I had ever done with first being a panel top quilt for a new baby. Guess next time I will open my mouth and request it be a raffle item..Lesson learned the hard way.

Never knew labels went on back-OOPS

Poor husband had to stand on a chair with his arms in the air for about 10 pictures

Quilting by a family friend..guess each flower was an individual one so took her a long time to do the flowers.

Great job on your donation quilt. Don't let a not so pleasant experience sour you on helping.

I won't just broke my heart that all that work and not to mention $ didn't really help the cause very much. Next time I will just state that I want it raffled and not a door prize. (or is that to bossy? ) :?

tsp.. you did a fantastic job on your quilt. I love the bright colors you used.
I am planning to start one tomorrow to donate to Relay for life too. I decided to do the 10 min block pattern by Suzanne McNeill. It is a fantastic pattern and goes together so quickly. The gal who asked me about making it said it will be a raffle one. They are planning to raffle it off on Facebook. I hope to get it done this week so I can give it to her at church on Mothers day.
Here is the link to the video for the pattern I am using.
