Default Remember when I cut my backing fabric for the border? Pic

A while back I made the horrible mistake of cutting my backing fabric into strips for my borders on a quilt. So, that made me short on backing fabric. Well, I hade 5 extra blocks left over from the top & decided to piece them on to the back (a first for me). Here's how it turned out. The colors aren't very good in the picture as the quilt has rich, blue colors. I think it turned out good & the future owner will love it. Thanks for everyone's encouragement & input during the process of this quilt.

I adore having little pieced elements in the backing. I think your quilt turned out really nice and the blocks in the backing is an extra little touch. Edited to add that I really like the darker blue border you put on the quilt.

I always make a pieced backing. A solid backing is boring. I like your quilt.

Good job, your pieced backing is artistic and makes the back interesting.

too true! If we never made any mistakes, we'd never discover creative solutions.

    I love the quilt!
