So we have this place here that is kinda like a thrift store on the base...but its all free. i take stuff there all the time and do get some things some times....well i had 2 huge bags of outgrown things from the kids to donate so i took them in and just decided to look around a little and here on the shelf was this beautiful quilt.....i knew at first sight it was handmade...its beautiful. and while the deer/outdoor theme is not really my taste i just couldnt let this sit here. i pulled it down and the guy who runs the place says do you know what that is...he didnt let me answer and said its a blanket for picnics...lol. well its beautiful pieced and longarmed with a beautiful leaf panto it looks like. the colors are bright and crisp and the fabrics are all very nice...they still feel like they have the sizing in them....it looks to be brand new and never used. so i brought it home and i plan to send it off with the others i am donating to the troops deployed with my husband. thanks for looking enjoy

back...its black and does not photograph well sorry

Great find. I am sure one of the guys will love it.
One wonders why the previous owner let it go, but good they donated it instead of abusing it.

May God be with you and your family during this time of your husband's deployment. Our guys and gals and their families certainly give more than we can imagine.

My DGS is in the Army and I haven't seen him in ages.
